Extra Credit Part 1 (24 points max)
Choose ONE (1) of the following:
A) Industry and Progress - The Industrial Revolution impacted a lot of lives in some way. Whether you were an aristocrat or a poor city worker, there is no doubt that industrialization has altered a part of your life. Pick a group of people and research them during the Industrial Revolution. How has industry and progress changed their life? Did the revolution make living better for them? Worse? Tell me about it. 200 words minimum.
B) A View of the Arts - There's nothing that says Victoriana than the fashion and the aesthetics! Illustrate something that can be found in the Victorian era, whether it's a building, painting, form of dress, or even the side of the street on a bustling London day (or, if you're heading east, maybe even an elephant!). This can be done through drawing/painting/Photoshopping, etc.
C) Danger Signs - It is the age of industry, and you have been put in charge of recruiting for a local railroad company. The plan is to attract any number of laborers, and it doesn't matter if they're skilled or not. How do you go about doing it? You can write about your experience or make an ad, this is solely up to you!
Please make sure to upload your pictures on an image site like Photobucket, Imageshack, or Tinypic, as I will not be opening attachments.
